Social Media & Email Marketing Manager

Our client is a Sydney-based e-commerce business operating in the wholesale and retail garden decor sector with seven years of successful trading across Australia. They operate with a small, agile team that highly values initiative, accuracy, and leveraging modern AI tools to work smarter.

They are now seeking to hire a Social Media & Email Marketing Manager to lead organic social channels, execute automated email campaigns, and drive audience engagement. This role plays a vital part in building brand loyalty, nurturing customer journeys, and continually optimising marketing performance through data-led decisions.

Job Responsibilities

Social Media & Community Management

  • Plan and maintain organic content calendars for Facebook and Instagram
  • Write, create, and schedule engaging organic social media posts
  • Manage all day-to-day operations within Meta Business Suite
  • Prepare eye-catching graphics and creative assets using Canva and AI tools
  • Monitor and respond promptly to routine social media comments and messages

Email Marketing & Automation

  • Build and dispatch Klaviyo email campaigns, newsletters, promotions, and product launches
  • Create and maintain automated email flows including welcome, abandoned cart, post-purchase, and win-back sequences
  • Segment customer lists effectively based on engagement behaviour and purchase history
  • Personalise email content for varied customer cohorts to boost conversion
  • Conduct systematic A/B testing across subject lines, body content, offers, and send times

Strategy, Analytics & AI Integration

  • Monitor performance and compile reports on engagement, open rates, click-through rates, conversions, and revenue
  • Recommend actionable campaign improvements using performance data insights
  • Support paid Meta campaigns through target audience research, creative preparation, and performance reporting
  • Conduct regular competitor analysis, trend research, and content ideation
  • Utilize AI tools such as ChatGPT and Claude daily to enhance productivity and content output

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in social media management or email marketing within retail or e-commerce
  • Advanced hands-on proficiency with Meta Business Suite managing Facebook and Instagram accounts
  • Advanced expertise in Klaviyo managing campaigns, flows, customer segmentation, and reporting
  • Intermediate to advanced skill in Canva and generative AI tools such as ChatGPT or Claude
  • High level of written English communication proficiency
  • Data-driven mindset with proven capability to interpret metrics and adjust marketing strategies
  • Reliable hardware setup with minimum i5/i7 10th Gen processor, 16GB RAM, dual monitors, and high-speed internet with a backup connection
Nice-to-Have Skills
  • Prior experience in the garden decor, home, or wholesale e-commerce spaces
  • Hands-on exposure to assisting with paid Meta advertising setup and creative preparation
