Strategic Indirect Buyer
Join Ivoclar as a Strategic Indirect Buyer - Mandarin Speaker Are you passionate about procurement strategy and supplier management? Ivoclar is looking for a proactive and analytical professional to drive strategic sourcing and optimize indirect spend. In this role, you'll be the go-to expert for category strategy, supplier selection, and contract negotiations. You'll play a vital part in controlling costs, managing supplier performance, and ensuring high-quality service delivery while collaborating with cross-functional teams across the organization. Key Responsibilities Strategy development - Develop and implement category strategies in close coordination with internal stakeholders - Conduct market analyses and identify trends and risks - Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and internal customers Supplier management - Select and evaluate suppliers based on qualitative and quantitative criteria - Define and implement measures to support supplier development and continuous improvement Contract and price negotiations - Prepare for and lead negotiations on pricing, terms, and contracts - Support compliance with contractual terms and delivery agreements - Track and report cost-saving initiatives Cost management - Identify savings opportunities and implement cost-reduction measures - Prepare and monitor budget and cost analyses - Analyze and manage supply chain risks - Coordinate and contribute to business case analyses and make-or-buy decisions Collaboration and communication - Work closely with internal requesters, Legal, and other departments - Participate in and contribute to cross-functional projects and teams - Prepare reports and present results to divisional and executive management Compliance - Implement and comply with the requirements of the safety manual - Implement and comply with the requirements of the employee handbook - Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements - Act as a role model in line with the corporate values of the Ivoclar Group Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in business or a related field, with a focus on Procurement; additional certification or training in Procurement is a plus - Must have 3-6 years of experience in strategic procurement, preferably within an international environment - Proficiency in SAP or similar ERP systems - Strong knowledge of relevant markets and products - Working knowledge of contract law and procurement regulations - Basic project management skills and experience - Fluent in business English and excellent language proficiency in Mandarin - Excellent negotiation and communication skills - Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities What We Provide: - TRAINING: You will work with various members of our team locally and onshore to ensure you are set up for success. - SUPPORT: A close-knit coaching and mentoring system to help you ease into the company and into your role with confidence. - COMP & BEN: Ivoclar believes in compensating employees fairly for their skills and experience and has designed the total rewards package for long-term relationships. - TOOLS: Everything you need to help you do your work will be provided. - WORKING ENVIRONMENT: Ivoclar prides itself on being a family-owned company with strong values so everyone we bring in becomes part of that global family.
