Position Title: Technical Detailer (Tekla Structures)

Schedule: Monday – Friday, 9:00 am - 5:30 pm NSW, AU Time or 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM PH Time

Holiday to follow: NSW, AU Holidays

Workdays: Mon - Fri

Work Set-up: Work From Home or office.

Brief Overview

We are seeking a skilled Technical Detailer with 4–5 years of experience to work for our client’s who is based in Sydney, Australia. In this role, you will specialize in structural steel modeling and detailing using Tekla Structures for major commercial, industrial, and residential projects in Australia. You will work directly with Australian-based project managers, engineers, and fabricators to deliver high-quality, shop-ready drawings that comply strictly with Australian building standards.

Key Responsibilities

· 3D Modeling: Create accurate, detailed 3D structural steel models using Tekla Structures based on architectural and engineering drawings.

· Drawing Generation: Produce high-quality assembly drawings, shop/fabrication drawings, erection plans, and Bill of Materials (BOM).

· Standard Compliance: Ensure all models and fabrications drawings strictly adhere to Australian Standards (AS 4100 and AS/NZS 5131).

· Clash Detection: Identify, report, and resolve connection design issues, geometric clashes, and missing design information during the modeling phase.

· RFI Management: Raise and track Requests for Information (RFIs) clearly and professionally to resolve design discrepancies.

· Collaboration: Coordinate closely with onshore Australian project management and fabrication teams to ensure seamless project delivery and timelines.

Required Qualifications

· Experience: Minimum of 4 to 5 years of solid experience in structural steel detailing.

· Software Expertise: Advanced, hands-on proficiency in Tekla Structures (3D Modeling, Connection Application, and Drawing Editing) is mandatory.

· Industry Standards: Proven experience working on Australian structural steel detailing projects and a strong understanding of Australian steel codes.

· Communication: Excellent verbal and written English communication skills, with the confidence to collaborate directly with overseas teams.
