Our open-source platform offers a strong, opinionated foundation for how organizations can measure, analyze, and share their data, and it’s used by tens of thousands of companies.</p> <p>Technical writers are responsible for maintaining Metabase’s documentation.</p> <p>What you’ll do:<br /> • Collaborate with engineers, product managers, and designers to create clear, user-focused documentation for Metabase.<br /> • Work with Success Engineers to understand customer perspectives and create best practices, guides, and tutorials that address their needs.<br /> • Become a product expert, test new features, and share product feedback. </p> <p>About you:<br /> • At least three years of experience writing technical documentation for audiences in data analytics, data engineering, or related fields.<br /> • Technical knowledge in data science or data engineering—you’ll be expected to understand both the product and the domain.<br /> • Strong SQL skills.<br /> • Good understanding of database concepts and the data ecosystem.<br /> • Experience with docs-as-code workflows, Markdown, and Git. </p> <p>Nice to have:<br /> • Experience writing API and SDK documentation.<br /> • Familiarity with Python or JavaScript.<br /> • Clear opinions about documentation tools. </p> <p>Why Metabase?<br /> • Documentation is a key part of our product, and we treat it seriously.<br /> • We’re a fully remote, asynchronous startup with no physical office.
