About the Role As an Underwriter Surety based in London, you will be an integral part of our growing Surety Europe team, connecting analytical insight with hands-on client management. You will work closely with corporates and brokers across the UK, Ireland and internationally, balancing risk underwriting with client-facing responsibilities. We are looking for candidates who meet these requirements: • Minimum 3 years of relevant professional experience, preferably within a bank, surety insurer or financial institution with exposure to credit and guarantee products • Strong understanding of credit risks and financial markets, particularly in relation to debt financing, capital market instruments and surety/guarantee structures • Proven analytical and decision-making skills, with the ability to assess complex credit and transactional risks and translate findings into clear, structured recommendations • Confident communication and interpersonal skills, with demonstrated experience engaging with clients, brokers and internal stakeholders at a professional level • Proficiency in English (written and verbal) is essential; additional European language skills are a strong advantage These are additional nice to haves: • Experience working with multinational corporations or in a cross-border European surety/credit context • Familiarity with legal due diligence processes related to surety or guarantee transactions • Entrepreneurial mindset with a strong focus on identifying and originating new business opportunities • Experience using data and market intelligence tools to monitor portfolio performance and market trends • A university degree or equivalent qualification in finance, economics, law or a related discipline #LI-Hybrid Our company has a hybrid work model where the expectation is that you will be in the office at least three days per week. For London, the annual base salary range for this position is between GBP 63 000 and GBP 95 000 (for a full-time role). The specific salary offered considers: • the requirements, scope, complexity and responsibilities of the role, • the applicant's own profile including education/qualifications, expertise, specialisation, skills and experience.
