Underwriting Analyst 3

<p>This Underwriting Analyst 3 is accountable for equitable and sound underwriting decision of all applications submitted paid and unpaid) within turn around time. The underwriter protects the company against uninsurable risk. This helps the company in meeting its growth and overall financial goal.</p><p></p><p><b>Position Responsibilities: </b></p><ul><li><p>Check for completion of documents submitted</p></li><li><p>Sort and match requirements for underwriting</p></li><li><p>Classify occupation, assess the build, family history, financial, residential/geographical risk, and medical information.</p></li><li><p>Order requirements to assess risk, i.e. Medical Examination, APS, blood test</p></li><li><p>Document the above information in CAS underwriting notes.</p></li><li><p>Conduct AML checks and when result is positive to liaise with NB’s AML Officer or Chief Underwriter</p></li><li><p>Discuss complex cases with more senior underwriter or medical consultant</p></li><li><p>Underwrite medical and complex cases, including ECI and HIB within the approval authority</p></li><li><p>Underwrite medical and complex cases, including ECI and HIB referred by more junior underwriters</p></li><li><p>Underwrite medical and complex cases, including ECI and HIB, beyond the approval authority with the proposed underwriting decision to be approved by the Team Leader or underwriter with higher authority limit or the Chief Underwriter</p></li><li><p>Possess basic knowledge of all insurance plans, riders, policy provisions and company policies.</p></li><li><p>For sub-standard cases, provide the loading and generate rated proposal and letter. Update NB Tracking System and inform distributors on the underwriting decision through Inotify mail.</p></li><li><p>Prepare declined, postponed/deferred letter to include the refund check, if applicable</p></li><li><p>Report impairments to the Medical Information Bureau (MIB)</p></li><li><p>Handling of inquiry cases. Check completeness of submitted documents, conduct alpha search and consolidate total risks, Assess cases and forward notice requirement to agents thru email.
