Unix IT Specialist | Linux Administrator | AIX | RedHat | Hybrid

About the Role A leading global company in the technology and enterprise infrastructure services industry is looking for a Unix IT Specialist to support and maintain mission-critical Linux environments. This role is ideal for professionals with strong experience in Linux administration, infrastructure automation, server monitoring, and enterprise systems. Work Setup - Work Arrangement: Hybrid (3 days onsite, 2 days work from home) - Work Schedule: Shifting schedule - Work Location: Aseana City, Parañaque City, Metro Manila Key Responsibilities - Administer and maintain Linux and Unix server environments. - Monitor and troubleshoot system performance using enterprise monitoring tools. - Automate infrastructure and operational tasks through scripting and Ansible. - Configure, deploy, and maintain CI/CD pipelines. - Support lifecycle management, patching, and configuration management activities. - Build and maintain traditional virtual machine infrastructure and container-based environments. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an Agile/Scrum environment. - Review code, automation scripts, and infrastructure changes to ensure quality and best practices. - Support cloud-based infrastructure across public and private cloud platforms. Required Qualifications - Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in Linux or Unix administration. - Strong experience with Linux, preferably IBM AIX and Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL). - Experience using Nagios and/or Microsoft SCOM for infrastructure monitoring. - Knowledge of GPFS (IBM Spectrum Scale). - Experience with Bash scripting or other scripting languages. - Familiarity with Git and CI/CD processes. - Basic understanding of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, load balancing, and firewalls. - Experience supporting enterprise IT infrastructure or production environments. Preferred Skills - Ansible and Ansible Playbook development - BigFix administration - Docker and Kubernetes - Azure, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), or OpenStack - Jenkins - Terraform - SQL databases - Apache, Nginx, or HAProxy - LDAP, SSL/TLS, SAML, or OIDC authentication technologies Ideal Candidate We're looking for a Linux infrastructure professional who has experience supporting enterprise server environments, automating operational processes, and maintaining highly available systems. Candidates with exposure to IBM AIX, Red Hat Linux, enterprise monitoring tools, and infrastructure automation are highly preferred.
