About AI training (data labeling) work

AI training is the human side of building intelligent systems: people create and verify the examples models learn from. Speech and audio projects help voice assistants, IVR systems, and call-routing models understand real phone interactions.

This kind of work is often remote, part-time, and accessible: many projects need only native language fluency, attention to detail, and a quiet place to record.

The role

Record a short batch of phone greetings and operator-voicemail clips in your native language to help improve IVR and call-routing models. Each clip is 30 seconds or shorter; most people finish the whole batch in 30–45 minutes.

Eligible languages and in-country locations: Flemish (Belgium), Danish (Denmark), French (France), German (Germany), Irish/English (Ireland), Italian (Italy), Dutch (Netherlands), Portuguese (Portugal), Spanish (Spain), English (United Kingdom).

What you'll do

  • Record about 30 short audio clips (≤30 seconds each). The batch typically includes 15 scripted phone greetings plus ~15 operator/voicemail clips; exact totals depend on assignment.
  • Use the web recording tool provided and place calls over your in-country mobile network (a local SIM, not VoIP).
  • Provide clear, natural voice recordings in a quiet environment with minimal background noise.
  • Sign the required consent to allow your audio to be used for model training and quality assurance.

Requirements & eligibility

  • Native speaker of the language you apply for and currently located in the corresponding country (see role languages above).
  • 18 years or older and willing to sign consent for use of your voice recordings for model training and QA.
  • Have an in-country mobile number or SIM (no VoIP) and be able to place calls on the local cellular network.
  • Smartphone with a working microphone and access to a quiet space for recording.
  • Able to complete approximately 30 recordings within 24–48 hours of assignment and to submit 2–3 short qualification clips first.
  • One account per person; submit original recordings only (no voice changers, synthetic voices, or reused audio).
  • Agree that compensation for the batch is the fixed amount disclosed below.

Compensation & schedule

Payment for the batch is a fixed amount of $24–$36 USD for about 30 recordings; final payout depends on the exact assignment type and number of clips. The project is contractor, part-time work.

Each clip is short (≤30s) and most participants complete the full batch in roughly 30–45 minutes. Time commitment is less than 20 hours per week.

How the process works

  • Apply and tell us which language you will record.
  • Complete the qualification checklist and submit 2–3 short sample clips so we can verify audio quality.
  • If approved, receive the assignment and instructions in your web tool.
  • Place local calls using your in-country SIM and record the scripted greetings and voicemail/operator clips in the web tool.
  • Submit the batch within the assignment window (usually 24–48 hours) and receive the fixed payment once accepted.
