MinCie is a heart-led book club founded in 2025, dedicated to creating emotionally resonant spaces for readers across the Philippines. We gather around books that stir the soul—fiction, memoir, poetry, and myth—and co-create rituals that honor memory, meaning, and shared imagination.

Our gatherings are gentle, inclusive, and often ceremonial. We believe in reading with feeling, listening with care, and building community through story.

🌿 Volunteer Role: Community Host & Ritual Facilitator

We’re inviting volunteers to help guide our monthly book club gatherings—online or in-person. As a host, you’ll help shape the emotional arc of each session, welcome members with warmth, and co-create gentle rituals inspired by our book selections.

Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate or co-host monthly book discussions
  • Help design and present simple rituals (e.g. opening reflections, themed readings, symbolic gestures)
  • Support member engagement through messages, prompts, or creative invitations
  • Collaborate with the MinCie team on book selections and event planning
  • Uphold a welcoming, emotionally safe space for all participants

Ideal Qualities:

  • Deep love for books and storytelling
  • Comfort with gentle facilitation or hosting
  • Interest in emotional resonance, symbolism, or ritual design
  • Reliable, kind, and open to collaboration
  • Based in the Philippines (or connected to its cultural rhythms)
