Warehouse Supervisor - Liverpool

Recruitment experts Optime are excited to be recruiting for a Shift Supervisor on behalf of our client. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced warehouse professional looking to take the next step in their career with a leading logistics operation.

As a Shift Supervisor, you will play a key role in overseeing day-to-day warehouse activities, ensuring operational targets are achieved, teams are effectively managed, and service levels are maintained to the highest standard.

Full DHL training will be provided for the successful candidate.

What's on Offer:
  • Salary: £15.09 PH
  • Hours: 37.5 hours per week
  • Shift Length: 7.5 hours per day
  • Initial Shift Pattern: 05:30 – 13:00
  • Flexibility required as shift times may vary depending on operational requirements
  • Full DHL training programme provided (2 weeks)

Key Duties:
  • Supervising and leading warehouse teams to achieve operational targets.
  • Allocating workloads and monitoring employee performance.
  • Ensuring all warehouse activities are completed safely and efficiently.
  • Supporting the management of goods-in, goods-out, picking, packing, and dispatch functions.
  • Monitoring productivity and implementing improvements where required.
  • Maintaining accurate records and reports using warehouse management systems.
  • Using computer systems including Excel and other operational applications.
  • Supporting management with performance, compliance, and operational reporting.
  • Ensuring high standards of health and safety are maintained at all times.
  • Working flexibly across a 5-day-from-7-day operational rota.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience in a Warehouse Supervisor or Team Leader position.
  • Proven experience managing teams within a warehouse environment.
  • Strong understanding of warehouse operations and logistics processes.
  • Experience using warehouse management systems.
  • Good IT skills, including Microsoft Excel and other computer applications.
  • Ability to work flexibly across any 5 days from 7, in line with operational requirements.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to motivate teams and drive high performance.
  • Reliable, organised, and proactive approach to work.
