Location: Remote – Philippines

Employment Type: Full-Time Independent Contractor

Working Hours: The successful candidate will work remotely from the Philippines and must be available to collaborate during Australian Western Standard Time (AWST) business hours. There is no timezone difference between PH and AWST.

About the Role:

We are seeking a talented and proactive Web Developer / Web Designer to manage, maintain, and enhance our company website. This role will primarily focus on WordPress website development, content updates, website optimisation, and ongoing improvements to support our business and marketing objectives.

The successful candidate will work closely with the General Manager and Marketing Team to ensure our website remains visually appealing, user-friendly, and aligned with our brand and business goals.

Key Responsibilities:

Website Development & Maintenance

  • Manage, maintain, and update the company website using WordPress.
  • Develop new website pages, landing pages, and website features as required.
  • Troubleshoot website issues and implement solutions in a timely manner.
  • Ensure website functionality, performance, and security are maintained.
  • Monitor and optimise website speed and user experience.
  • Implement website improvements and enhancements based on business requirements.
  • Ensure website compatibility across desktop, tablet, and mobile devices.
Design & User Experience
  • Design visually appealing website layouts and page elements.
  • Create wireframes, mock-ups, and design concepts when required.
  • Ensure consistency of branding, design standards, and user experience throughout the website.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to improve website usability and engagement.
Graphic Design Support
  • Create or modify website graphics, banners, and visual assets.
  • Assist the Marketing Team with digital creative assets where required.
  • Ensure all visual content aligns with company branding guidelines.

Collaboration & Project Support

  • Work closely with the General Manager and Marketing Team on website initiatives and campaigns.
  • Participate in planning discussions and provide recommendations for website improvements.
  • Manage multiple tasks and projects while meeting agreed deadlines.
Qualifications & Experience:

Essential:

  • Minimum 3 years' experience in WordPress website development and maintenance.
  • Strong experience with WordPress themes, plugins, and website administration.
  • Proficiency in HTML and CSS.
  • Experience working with page builders such as Elementor or similar.
  • Experience troubleshooting website issues and implementing solutions.
  • Strong understanding of responsive web design and mobile optimisation.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
  • Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
  • Reliable internet connection and suitable home office setup.
  • Portfolio demonstrating relevant website projects.
Desirable
  • Experience with JavaScript and PHP.
  • Graphic design experience using Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, Figma, or similar tools.
  • Knowledge of SEO best practices.
  • Experience working with Australian businesses or international clients.
  • Experience creating digital marketing assets and website graphics.
Reporting Line:
  • Reports directly to the General Manager.
  • Works closely with the Marketing Team.
Compensation: AUD $2,000 – $3,000 per month (dependent on experience, skills, and qualifications).
