WFH Customer Support and Communications Specialist

Overview

Our client is looking for a Customer Support and Communications Specialist to serve as the first point of contact for families seeking enrollment in year-round dance and performing arts programs for youth and adults. Operating after-school classes, competitive teams, and summer camps, this growing organization is expanding its team to deliver warm, prompt, and professional communication. In this role, you will manage parent inquiries across email, social media, and phone while guiding busy parents through the registration process.

Your efforts will directly enhance the family enrollment experience and strengthen community connections with the center.

Schedule:

  • Part-time (20 hours per week): Monday, Tuesday, & Saturday: 10:00 AM – 3:00 PM EST | Thursday: 3:00 PM – 8:00 PM EST
Responsibilities
  • Respond to parent inquiries via Gmail, Instagram, Facebook, and phone calls in a timely and professional manner
  • Send enrollment packets and registration information to prospective families
  • Manage ongoing communication with current families throughout the program year
  • Handle increased inquiry volume during peak enrollment periods
  • Monitor and respond to social media messages on Instagram and Facebook
  • Maintain organized records of parent communications and inquiries
  • Support summer camp registration and communication processes
  • Provide customer service that strengthens relationships between families and the center
Requirements
  • Proven experience in customer service or client communication roles
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency with Gmail and email management
  • Experience managing social media communications, particularly Instagram and Facebook
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to handle phone inquiries professionally
  • Comfortable managing multiple communication channels simultaneously
  • Bonus if you have experience in education, youth programs, or performing arts environments
  • It helps if you're familiar with enrollment or registration processes
  • Bonus if you have experience with seasonal business cycles and fluctuating workload volumes
