Job Overview:

Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Finance, Accounting, and Investment Operations Assistant to drive core business reporting, analyze financial data, and manage key performance metrics. Exposure to investing or investment analysis is highly desirable, making this an ideal role for someone comfortable handling numbers and supporting strategic day-to-day operations. If you bring strong analytical skills and a solid financial foundation, we would love to hear from you.

Schedule:

Monday - Friday, Flexible Hours - Australian Business Hours (20 work hours per week)

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with day-to-day finance and accounting activities
  • Maintain and organise financial records, spreadsheets, and documentation
  • Assist with financial reporting, tracking, and analysis
  • Monitor and update key business metrics and performance data
  • Prepare reports and summaries for management
  • Assist with investment-related research, tracking, and reporting
  • Analyse financial and operational data to identify trends or key insights
  • Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning as required
  • Support invoice, expense, reconciliation, and other administrative finance tasks
  • Perform general administrative and data-entry tasks
  • Maintain accurate and confidential financial information
  • Provide general support to management across finance and business operations
Requirements:
  • Experience in finance, accounting, investment, business administration, or a related field
  • Exposure to investing or investment analysis is highly desirable
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills
  • Comfortable working with financial data, metrics, and spreadsheets
  • Good understanding of accounting and financial concepts
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Proficient in Excel/Google Sheets
  • Able to organise information and produce clear reports
  • Strong administrative and time-management skills
  • Able to work independently and take initiative
  • Good written and verbal English communication skills
