We are seeking an experienced, organised and hands-on Private PA & Household / Family Assistant to support a successful businessman and his family in Hampstead.

This is a primarily household-focused position, with the successful candidate taking responsibility for the day-to-day running, organisation, cleanliness and presentation of the family home, alongside food preparation and family support.
While there is an element of private PA and administrative support, the majority of the role will centre around housekeeping, household management, cooking, errands and ensuring the home operates smoothly and efficiently.

We are looking for someone who takes pride in maintaining a well-organised, clean and welcoming environment, enjoys being proactive, and is happy to be involved in all aspects of family life.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Daily housekeeping and maintaining high standards of cleanliness throughout the home
  • Cleaning, tidying and organising living areas, bedrooms, bathrooms and kitchen spaces
  • Laundry management, including washing, ironing, folding and wardrobe organisation
  • Bed changing and linen management
  • Keeping household supplies, groceries and essential items fully stocked
  • Managing household inventories and storage areas
  • Organising cupboards, wardrobes and family spaces
  • Receiving and unpacking deliveries
  • Running household errands and shopping as required
  • Liaising with tradespeople, suppliers and household service providers
  • Coordinating household appointments and maintenance visits
  • Managing day-to-day household administration
  • Identifying areas that require attention and taking a proactive approach to resolving issues
  • Ensuring the home remains presentable, welcoming and ready for family use at all times
Cooking & Food Preparation Food preparation will form an important part of the role.
Responsibilities will include:
  • Preparing daily lunches, snacks and family meals
  • Planning simple, nutritious and balanced meals
  • Managing grocery shopping and kitchen supplies
  • Maintaining a clean, organised and hygienic kitchen
  • Catering for dietary preferences
  • Preparing after-school snacks and light evening meals for the child
Private PA & Administrative Support Approximately 2-3 hours per day will be dedicated to PA and administrative responsibilities, including:
  • Managing diaries, appointments and schedules
  • Coordinating meetings and travel arrangements
  • Organising domestic and international travel
  • Managing correspondence, emails and administration
  • Booking restaurants, appointments and personal commitments
  • Researching services, activities and suppliers
  • Assisting with personal and business-related errands
  • Providing general administrative support as required
  • Acting as a reliable point of contact and anticipating future requirements
Childcare & Family Support Following school hours, responsibilities will include:
  • Supporting homework and school-related activities
  • Taking the child to clubs, activities and appointments
  • Organising engaging age-appropriate activities
  • Supporting the child's afternoon and evening routine
  • Ensuring the child's safety and wellbeing
  • Providing regular communication and updates to parents
About You This role would suit someone who is naturally organised, practical and enjoys being actively involved in the running of a busy family home.

You will be comfortable taking ownership of household responsibilities and maintaining exceptionally high standards, whilst also providing administrative support and childcare assistance when required.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
  • Previous experience in a Housekeeper, Family Assistant, Household Manager, Private PA, Nanny/PA or similar role
  • Strong housekeeping experience within a private household environment
  • Experience with cooking and meal preparation for families
  • Experience supporting a high-net-worth family
  • Experience caring for school-age children
  • Excellent organisational and time-management skills
  • High standards of housekeeping and attention to detail
  • A proactive "see it, sort it" attitude
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • The ability to multitask and prioritise effectively
  • A warm, trustworthy and professional manner
  • Excellent discretion and confidentiality
  • A flexible, hands-on approach with a willingness to assist wherever needed
Please note that this is primarily a household support role. Whilst PA responsibilities form part of the position, applicants must be comfortable with regular housekeeping, laundry, home organisation, cooking and general household duties as a core part of the role.
