Warehouse Operative – Stocktake

People Solutions are currently recruiting for Warehouse Operatives to support a major warehouse stocktake project based in Edinburgh . This is a full-time, fixed-term opportunity starting 2nd February and running for 3 weeks , with the potential for ongoing warehouse work in Edinburgh City Centre for strong performers once the stocktake is completed.

Project Dates & Overview:
• Start Date: 2nd February
• Duration: 3 weeks
• Weeks 1–2: Stock count training and preparation work
• From 16th February: Official warehouse stocktake begins

Shifts:
• Monday to Friday
• 8:00am – 6:00pm
• 40+ hours per week

Rates of Pay:
• £12.21 per hour
• Weekly pay

Day-to-Day Duties:

As a Warehouse Operative , your duties will include:

• Accurately counting stock within the warehouse
• Recording stock data precisely
• Inputting figures into stock management systems
• Supporting preparation and organisation ahead of the official stocktake
• Maintaining high levels of accuracy and attention to detail
• Working as part of a dedicated stocktake team

Essential Skills:

The skills required as a Warehouse Operative are:

• Impeccable attention to detail
• Strong numerical ability and confidence with maths
• Fluent English reading, writing and comprehension
• Comfortable with data entry and working with figures
• Reliable, punctual and able to commit fully to the project
• Able to work long shifts and maintain concentration

Important Requirements:
• This is a full-time role, Monday to Friday, 40+ hours per week
• Student or part-time availability cannot be considered
• Candidates must be available for the full 3-week period with no holidays, appointments or planned absences
• Candidates must also be available for potential ongoing work after the stocktake if successful
